Today we celebrate Brenda’s 28 years of dedication and leadership to Bank of Springfield and the Springfield community.

Brenda first entered her career in banking in 1978 and joined BOS in 1997. In November 2006, Brenda was promoted to Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and began to serve a vital leadership role within Senior Management. During her tenure as CFO, BOS has seen its staff increase from 112 to 361 employees, the addition of 9 locations – including the market expansion into Missouri, and total growth of $1 billion in assets. In addition to financial stewardship, Brenda’s areas of management experience included teller operations, loan servicing, underwriting and closing, human resources, deposit operations, financial reporting, audit, and compliance.

Brenda poured her heart and soul into BOS and

she is a huge part of our success. She has been an incredible teammate,

mentor, and friend. I wish her the very best in her retirement.

Jason Knoedler, BOS CEO and Vice Chairman of the Board

Outside of working at BOS, Brenda was heavily engaged throughout the Springfield community. She was a longtime Director and Trustee with Downtown Springfield, Inc. and previously sat on the Board of Directors for Cornerstone Title Group, LLC, the Senior Service Center Money Management Program Advisory Board, and Sojourn Shelter and Services (Association of Mortgage Professionals). Brenda’s community involvement also included her work with the Mini O’Beirne Crisis Nursey Holiday Store.

We wish Brenda all the best in her retirement!
