Meet The Bank That Helps You Bank Boldly

At BOS, our goal is to develop life long relationships with our customers. We make banking easy and convenient. When you call BOS, you will immediately talk with a person, not an automated attendant.

A Proven History. A Powerful Future.

With a focus on community, Jack A. Marantz founded BOS in Springfield, Illinois in 1965. Today, the tradition continues under the leadership of Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, Tom Marantz.

From our roots as a neighborhood bank on Springfield’s southeast side, BOS has grown to 13 full-service branches. You can find us in Springfield, Jacksonville, Chatham, Quincy, Swansea, Shiloh, Glen Carbon, and Staunton, IL and Brentwood, MO. As we continue to expand operations, you have our promise to remain privately held and responsive to your needs.

Your Community. Our Community.

BOS is committed to utilizing its resources to make a positive impact on the communities we serve. In addition to several major sponsorships, our employees continually dedicate their time volunteering for local organizations including food, clothing and toy drives, blood drives, and numerous charity events.

Our brightly colored, child-friendly mascot, “BOS Dog” (pronounced Boss Dog) attends many fundraisers and family events throughout central Illinois.

For all eligible employees, we offer a generous benefits package. Our benefits currently include, but are not limited to:

  • Group Life and Long-Term Disability
